‘Unfair’ Egg Packaging: Bahraini man arrested for selling egg packaging

Manama, Bahrain — An egg packaging manufacturer in Bahrain has been arrested on charges of exporting eggs, according to the Bahraini government.

Bahraini authorities said Monday that the man arrested Monday, who was detained in Manama in a joint operation with the Bahrain Police and the Interior Ministry, is one of several people detained by the authorities for violating the country’s strict eggs export regulations.

The man is accused of selling egg shells in the country, which are then packaged for export, and of illegally exporting eggs to Saudi Arabia.
